I hit a deer in a 2017 civic hatchback, there was over 30k damage and it was written off (within 10 hrs of buying it new). They can do a *ton* of damage.

Back east and in the Midwest - yes. West of the Cascades - not so much. I've seen more whitetails in one day back east than I've seen blacktails in almost three years since moving to the NW.

What snow plow do you have? How does your Tacoma handle it?

Sorry OP for going off topic.

Too bad the Wildlife dept. charges a fortune for out of state hunters to hunt them, yet there are too many deer.

I wasn't going to swerve at 60+mph to avoid that stupid deer and the only place I could go was right- into the trees. The damage was minimal $150

Well, compared to a lot of ya'll it looks like I faired pretty well. Just a little guy & slowed to about 35mph when we made contact.

Does anyone know what the ring around the grill is actually called as a part? If I can find that, I may try to forgo the body shop route.
