it is utterly ridiculous how loppy sided the front end looks now with the junk keystone headlight housing installed...

Opposing thumbs pushing them in at the corner edges to fully seat seemed to work best as abreeze

But yeah Toyota must've did something with the inside plastics on the DRL signal
I experimented some swapping those lights
The new genuine housing came with a full set of lights, the keystone junk did not
The repair shop just swapped a light in from the old unit and it was WHITE and not amber orange
Thought it might be that keystone junk but nope!
I put that old light into the new Toyota housing and it was WHITE
So it would seem Toyota changed the bulbs and probably the tinting of the interior plastic

There are widespread reports and complaints in here about leaks with the aftermarket headlamp housings. It seems to plague them all and it doesn't take very long and yellowing follows soon after. OEM's last a long time. Mine are eleven years old and the only sun damage is along the top lip of each one. No water leaks, no DRL cracking or melting and I have them on all of the time. I wax them with Meguires' and it brings them back somewhat and I believe helps protect them from UV damage.

    that is interesting to note

also, the replacement bumper cover the shop slapped on was also keystone sourced
i totally swear there is just something off with it
like its a dull shade of black/grey and not the glossy black this tacoma originally came with

Let me guess. Lots of bent and damaged parts that - because they're hidden - were never repaired or replaced. Wiring "repairs" that would scare even a high school Shop teacher. Welding done by a 10-year-old. And I could go on and on.

Lol Nothing too drastic like that! At least not found yet...
I was stumped about some missing fasteners and another that does not belong per the parts diagram
It's like the capa keystone bumper does not line up for a proper fitting underneath
