My Tundra has the same shark fin. I noticed it was loose and had the dealer look at it.They didn't do anything with it, said if it leaks bring it back. They explained the rubber gasket is just a buffer for the plastic and roof paint. There is another sealing grommet where the wires come out of the roof.

Thank you. I think they're right. Looking around online it looks like there is a grommet and this is where the water protection is. I will talk with my dealer during the first oil change and check their thoughts.

that's good to know, I just discovered mine is loose on my 23 Taco and could see that water made it under the rubber gasket. I will sleep better knowing there is more sealing underneath.

    Work in progress...
My wife bought a Camry SXE what ever the sport v6 thing is off the showroom. Anyways the guy was backing the car out the door and the wind blew the door into the car. The rear brake light got cracked. They gave us a "to do" on the deal but lol...got that shit out of the way right away.

I thought this was gonna be a thread about trying to drive in the ocean and running over sharks.
    My advice, Don't do it!!

Thin bead of silicone and forget about it. Look in the paint aisle at the big box place and get the 35 year stuff it might even come in black.

The OP hasn't been seen since he day he posted this thread a year ago.
You'd have a better chance getting the answer out of Bigfoot.

However, I'm willing to go out on a limb and say, no, it didn't leak..

Typical TW,, and some new folks wonder why the 'tude when they ask for help, when most come here stir up a hornets nest or ask for help, and never return.
Not that all deserve it, but damn.
