They say FF and WW are also safe for electrical wires and connector's. I'd personally try to avoid spaying them. Like @zoo truck said my plan was to do the frame, removed the engine shield, to the frame under there. Probably not bother with things that heat up like the oil pan and trans pan.
Do in side the bed sides and rockers as much as possible. The underside of the cab. Maybe open the tailgate and spray in there a little.

I always get a kick out of these rust threads. Some day I’ll move somewhere warm and bitch about rust online. :)

Reason i didn't do my tailgate....i never did it to my tundra, and it was still perfect after 19 years when i sold it. Just assuming this tacoma will be the same. I did shoot some cosmoline inside the rockers though. I lightly sprayed the drive shafts all the way around, but left the engine oil pan, transmission, and aluminum transfer case alone.

I made the mistake of spraying Woolwax inside the tailgate. Now every time it rains, Woolwax leaches our of the handle and runs down the tailgate which then attracts dirt. Hopefully it runs out at some point, but that stuff sure is persistent.

a little rust inside a trailer hitch exposed to the elements is bringing on all this anxiety? you don't need anti rust ideas for the hitch you need to see a psychiatrist

I used a hitch hauler with an anti-rattle attachment for a few road bikes. Was fantastic! Probably will save the fresh coat of paint in the long run.

'Often in salty environements' and you have the most minor amount of surface rust.... Probly time to trade that POS back in for a quality Jeep.

I was citing the reason for early concern. For all PWC guys, rust and corrosion prevention is in our blood. Salt water wreaks havoc on every metal part of a ski if not properly taken care of. Here are the bays for my 92 and '07. They look brand new!

this is letting you know, it is working. FF, & WW will "leech" into seams, crevasses. the vapor/overspray is a good thing. watching it leak from the bottom of doors, rockers, seams, etc... is a true testament, that it is doing what it is supposed to do... protect metal, and your investment. re-applying yearly, ups this effect, and its protecting ability.

it does suck to see the blackish dust, cloud where it seeps out. but, for me, it is ok to ruin a few towels now and then... i will take that, over a rusted out hunk of junk, like you see on the rams and chevy's of the same vintage. Ski
