Has anyone taken apart the 7-way wiring harness included with the OEM tow package? I couldn't find any references as to how it's attached.

I am adding some auxiliary stop/turn lights and would like to hard wire them in. I could just pigtail the wires into a 7-way connector but that would look like crap.

    Thanks for the help.

It's attached via the bolts holding it on....
The wires are attached by the clips that hold them on.....

Are the wires color-keyed that follow traditional trailer wiring?

Is the connector sealed or does it separate?

The wires are indentified by position on the cover of the 7 pin harness.
It unplugs just above the receiver, by swinging up the white plastic catch, and pulling it apart.
