Does anyone own or have they tried out the hitchmate truckstep or something similar that they would recommend? I recently bought a rightline gear truck tent and I am just looking for an easier way to get in and out of it. So I'm wondering if there's a product out there that will work perfect that I can get for cheap or if I should just try and make my own. Thanks!

I bought the Heininger Hitchmate Truck Step which is similiar to the one in your picture off of the local Craig’s List for $30 used . I have it mounted to my Hitch Tite trailer hitch. I recently had an OME suspension kit installed on my truck which lifted the truck about 3” and found it wasn’t easy to get in/out of the truck bed. The truck step makes loading/off loading gear/cargo/etc. much easier and don’t have to strain my back or worry about falling off the tail gate. Since I liked the quality & durability of the design, I also bought their Hitchmate Hitch Lock as well to make sure no one would steal anyhing off of my trailer hitch. Both are good products and would recommend to anyone who uses their trailer hitch for carrying their bicycles/hitch steps/etc.
