Man, good luck. I hope they total it out for you. Even if they did fix it, it won't be the same man. not in the long run anyway.... best bet is to get a new truck....
8k.....bull ....oem parts will be way more than 8k.... he said 4k for the front end but what about the mechanical parts he needs to rebuild the engine. So maybe the body shop is 8k for the frame and hood, and u need a mechanic to put in all the mechanical parts..... dunno...then add labor... 8k yeah rite

Is this guy above board and honest?? Is he an approved repair center for your insurance co? I think I'd get another opinion just to see what another guy has to say. I'd get two or three repair quotes - even if you have to borrow a flat bed and a friends truck to tow it around. That seems like alot more damage than $8,000 worth of damage. I've seen other trucks with less damage have more $$$ in repair costs and end up getting totaled.

Unfortunately I am almost certain that in Cali (Where I be Also) it is at the insurance companies discretion to utilize used components so long as they are of equally quality to new upon completion of the repair. Good Luck, I hope your adjuster is in a good mood.

That sounds way too low, considering a bumper alone can cost $1000+ depending on the vehicle. Was this quote from your body shop? or the one recommended by the insurance company?

Take the truck to the dealer man. They over price it for sure. What you pay in towing will be made up for in a new 09 Taco.....
