That's really awesome of you to share this stuff. You're a really good guy. Once I get enough I'm looking to pay off some debt and put a large jumpstart on retirement. I've been fortunate enough to have necessary assets in hand and I try to help out my friends with that.

 

Finding a unicorn is great but not the way to make money with options. Since they are expensive as fuck for the big tickers you want to watch patterns. Then get in when you see a reversal. Works for both puts and calls. Sometimes it works and you make big returns. Sometimes it doesn't and you lose it all.

RBLX destroyed me last month. Not because I "read" the pattern wrong but because I missed the timing by a fucking week. If I'd paid a larger premium to go out further in time those calls would have made money. If I sold for a smaller profit on the first attempt to break trend I would have made some money. Instead, I got greedy and cocky. I was sure I was right and I was sure I would make at least 50% returns. Neither happened and I lost it all. Live and learn.

The amount of money I've made off of NVDA calls this year is stupid. It's the only thing keeping me green. Most of my mini-YOLO plays have gone to tits up so it's always nice to have the bread and butter to keep the account green. lol

 

how many lives you can positively affect along the way is a bigger flex than just making lotsa money

 

Also i'd imagine doing coke off of hookers in the bahamas is less fun alone compared to doing it with friends

On a serious note do any of you subscribe to any online stock watch/advisory services, free or paid subscriptions? Seeking Alpha, Morningstar, WSJ, Stockwits, etc. that you’d recommend?
I’ve ruled out Motley Fool paid services based on reviews and also pass on anything Jim Cramer.
When I retire I plan to roll the smaller work 401k into an IRA and play stocks with a bigger stash but need to get all the info I can.

 

seems like that's all that's involved with that stock... sitting around waiting..

 

I personally don't, but I'm sure a couple people here do. I'm looking to get into at least one in the next year or so. I remember my grandfather used to get IBD (investors business daily) The sheer amount of the booklets lying around that we had to throw away was shocking to say the least.
