It's not quite whiskey or brisket but I'm a non-drinker vegetarian, soooo... my weekend project is: finally breaking down these old theater seats to get them prepped for eventual restoration.

Plus... more room for activities without 9 seats sitting around up my ass.

I made some bbq pumpkin seeds...They taste 99% like the tip of a crispy bbq chicken wing. The vegetarians at work were like "Holy shit you need to sell these...What's in them?"
    so I said
"Well first I coat the pan in chicken fat..."

But serious it's my blend of spices and evoo...

    SO GOOD.

They're out of a high school auditorium. The school was renovated into offices, a rooftop bar and concert hall (with cushier seats.)

Got them from the same liquidator who had some busted up church pews I turned into a breakfast nook.

It worked out great. A fixed bench and customized table lets 4 people sit comfortably in that awkward space.

The table was much larger originally but the top was starting to split, so the person was giving it away. I disassembled it, cut the top down, and turned into the three legger it is now.

The single leg on one end makes it so people can slide in easily, at the cost of being a little too wobbly for table dances.

It was a blast. I've been trying to connect a local canyon to the top of the Whites. After many failed attempts up old roads, washes, and ravines I'm pretty sure I found the one that will work. It's passable but has a very Johnson Valley feel to how hard it is.

Yep. The top of the strut tower is what always fails. So I re-enforced that. I've never seen a strut tower fail where mine has failed. I've got some feelers out to other guys that wheel IFS hard but so far none of them have seen it either. It didn't fail completely or I'd still be hiking out right now. It's gotta go though.

My goal for this build has always been to push IFS as far as it can go. I've done that. So, it's time for the IFS to go and a SAS to happen. lol

No offense to IFS, it can be built, and built well, but I used to always get a chuckle out of the fact my '79 F150 on 37's with some gears, a sawzall, and a 7:1 first gear could just kinda go anywhere for about the $4k I had into it (truck included in price)

I didn't even run front shocks for a while, and it seemed to do ok lmao

Dana 60 up front, Ford 9" in the rear. Unless GTii does something. Then I'm having the axles purpose built. lol

Old Fords are beasts. My '77 F-250 would go anywhere. The problem is they are just to damn big for most of the trails I do now. lol
