Trying to understand how you guys connecting the fridge on the truck bed. The AC power outlet will cut off by itself if ignition is off, so how you guys manage to have the fridge power? by AC? or DIY DC outlet? and I suppose this fridge only draw 15 amps? or higher? Try to understand more before ordering. Thanks

Gimme 30 minutes. I’m in traffic on my way to work, but I’ll write something up once I get there.

I also installed a blue seas panel. My dometic is rated at close to 7.5a when running.

    Yeah....nah.
    The fridge only draws about 66W. That's like <6amp @ 12VDC or about 0.6amps @ 120VAC.

So as you know, the fridge accepts both AC and DC. If you have both plugged in, the fridge defaults to AC. I leave both cables plugged into the fridge, and before I go on a trip, I'll run an extension cord to my truck and plug it into AC. That way it can get nice and chilled with no strain on the truck. Takes about 20 min to chill an empty fridge from 80 degrees to 36 degrees.

It's impossible to name an exact number of how many amps the fridge will draw on average due to a lot of variables, but reading this article, they found that it averaged a draw of 2.3Ah to maintain 40 degrees in a CFX-50.

    https://expeditionportal.com/field-tested-dometic-cfx-50-fridgefreezer/

I just ran 14 gauge wire directly off the battery with an inline 7.5A fuse to a basic 12v outlet. It came directly from China but was delivered in about 10 days. A 1" hole saw and a little dremel action and it fit nice and snug.

I ran a aux battery with Renogy 100w system, blue seas aux fuse, and Amazon usb/12v outlets. Been running for 4 weeks with no issue. Finally turned fridge off yesterday just cause I felt silly "continuing to test". This was also with parking in underground lot for duration of work day everyday.

I unfortunately can not provide tracking. They get drop shipped from Dometic to you. By the time they send me invoices with tracking you’ll already have it.
