Apparently, the ignition fuse came out. The only one we pulled was the horn, but who knows how that happened. Needless to say, the dealership fixed it and I'm good to go. And now back to the show which is still in progress. Thanks for all the responses.

Ok, I feel better now, I was wondering how it would be possible for the positive battery cable to be removed from the battery and then touch the frame and still arc.

What most people DONT realize is DC current flows Negative to Positive and not the other way around as most people think. By removing the negative you kill the circuit at the source. Most think positive provides the current that flows to ground or negative. It's the opposite.

    This. DC current 101.

ALWAYS disconnect the battery (negative terminal) when you are working on your car, especially when you are working on or near the electric components. Forgetting the fact that you can inadvertently blow a fuse or fry some sensitive piece of electronics, the real risk is of an airbag deploying when you are working in the footwell or somewhere else where serious bodily harm could occur. Not to mention the $$$$ it takes to replace one.

Loosen that 10mm nut, pop the terminal and wrap it in a red rag or something else that keeps it from coming back into contact w/ the neg terminal.

It does go against conventional thinking, but a quick Google search says you are right. It's the negative electrons flowing to the positive. Based on that info, it make perfect sense to remove the negative battery wire.

This is not the reason. Why spin a 12 volt hot wrench and arc 100's of amps to the frame by accident.
If you break the connection anywhere, current flow stops, period. Makes no difference + or - first in electrical theory.
The wrench on the negative post touching the frame will do nothing.

I would try the flux capacitor first actually.
I think I just created a massive google search for flux capacitor.
