Thanks Coot! It's alright. I've been using different versions of it in surveying applications for a while now.

Currently using Carlson Survey 2015 and it's complete trash lol.

Obviously not designed by a surveyor, but supposed to be helpful for importing points and shit....but it's not

Yea man that sounds like a pain if its not really doing as intended. Luckily with me being mech I mainly deal with cad, revit, modelworks, and other 3d software when needed although our clients rarely need 3d elements. I get a feeling I will need to learn microstation...all my friends say that program is back-asswards.

Totally! We've spent a lot of hours over the years perfecting our technique.

AUTO CAD is one thing, surveying is another. Meshing isn't always simple.

But, I love my job...just not the workload.

Glad to hear that man, I don't know how much I really enjoy the industry I am currently in. I miss making parts instead of just doing floor plans and drawing creation, but better than just spreadsheet crap.

Yeah man. Best advice my dad ever gave me was "follow your dreams"

Best advice my boss ever gave me was "be the man"

So - while I have passion and love for land surveying....i won't be doing it forever.

All this CAD talk is making my penis soft, GIS>CAD. And having to digitize a paper plat is awful.

The box a 60" hi-lift jack comes in is a little ridiculous, but I think I found a good mounting spot for it.IMG_20180420_151148.jpg IMG_20180420_151420.jpg
