I agree. The White-Out thing has to go. It started in Winnipeg back when the home team wore the white jerseys. Phoenix took on the tradition, and have continued to. Considering the home team now wears colors, you'd think they would have swapped out to match. Oh well, it was 38 degrees in Phoenix yesterday. Brain cells are frying...

Some teams do learn after a mistake.

The Caps only held a game at the same time the Redskins had a playoff game once. Never made that mistake again. I think the Caps do not schedule home games when the Redskins have a regular season game either.

"Played like shit", gets scored on twice. Idk how everyone in the hockey world missed what I would say was the best save of the playoffs. From his chest, reaches up with his blocker hand to stop and open netter. It may look like it hits Richardson's back but look closer and it is stopped by Quick then is bounces down. Kings still get the win even though Quick has a normal good game by any other NHL goaltender's standard.

Quick looked shaky , why is it so hard to admit that he played like crap for one game ?

The puck hit Richardson in the back. If you look again, watch when he shoots the puck you will see Richardson's shirt move by his pants. It does look like Quick got it with the blocker from that angle but I think it hit Richardson's back. I think another angle might confirm for sure.

However the Kings looked pretty good last night despite Quick letting in an easy one. I don't think it will affect him though and I thought he played pretty decent afterwards. There is already a hate there between these two teams so it should be a good series.

 

Silly NYDB It is all about the money at the box office in the NHL. In the NFL the box office money is decent but the TV money is tops.

I was under the impression the reason they do the white out is so it messes with the visiting team since EVERYTHING looks white, from the stands and boards, to the ice and the visiting player's team mates and kind of makes them harder to spot in the fast paced sport, while the yotes would have an easy time spotting their brown jerseyed teammates in a hurry. not sure its effective though. funny to see how many seats were actually empty but had white shirts on them, made it look full at least
