so besides the fact that the nba is rigged, we all know this.. i really think that nba and espn hate the nhl. espn has zero coverage and replays 7 hours of 2 nba games all day, maybe 15 seconds of nhl coverage. i also cant see how you have 3 or 4 teams that are up 3-0 and playing very dominat ball all of a sudden cant get it together and the series goes to 6-7 games. bringing me to the point that the nba is trying to overly extend their season to over shaddow the nhl playoffs for as long as possible. thoughts? espn is all we get at work and im really tired of listening to stephen a rant and rave about carmello and lebron and who ever else...

Isles have no business in the playoffs. Crosby will make a statement tonight.

I just watched the replay of the hit last night. I dont think there was an intent to injure, or aiming for the head. It was a bad pass by the D that set him up for it. No different than running a slant route.

No question it was a dangerous pass. So how come everyone except Eller himself recognizes this? For if he did, would he not have shouldered up on the D holding the line? IMO, this was his only option to survive but failed to take it, instead he took a blindside hit. Where is the logic in this?

I hear that. I like Eller. As a player and a person. The series would be better with him in it.

I have been watching the play with pausing. It happened really fast. The fact that the D man stepped up was actually a very aggressive play. He did not have the option to miss after his commitment. The Habs had a man getting up in front of the play on the far boards. If that puck would have gotten by both Eller and the D Man he likely would have picked up the puck and been off.

yah its one of those plays that once you commit you have to finish your cheque, what sucks the most is like you said the play itself is FAST, so slowing it down frame by frame really makes it go from clean, to dirty to clean,

if eller had not spun like he did on the way down, it would be okay

Diaz did make a good comment too, why go for the far shoulder not the close shoulder, when you go for the far shoulder what is no matter what in the way

thats my point exactly, it was more of a rant than anything. i just hate how theres zero coverage at the most important time of the year for this sport.
