What's the reasoning for the hatred? I never really saw any problem with him. I do think that this penalty was very selfish to take, and they should know that Steve Ott is a pansy who acts tough but never backs it up. The hit was very weak though and I don't really agree with the suspension but whats done is done.

 

He's a snivelling little bitch that demanded a trade from Ottawa , after they gave him a chance to restart his career after his car crash that killed his teammate Dan Snyder .

Even a lot of us in SJ don't really care for Heatley. He came out strong last year and keeps putting up decent numbers this year, but still... He has very poor awareness of what's happening and consantly makes bad decisions. And he never fights, but always throws those cheap "sneaky" elbows/checks/slashes/etc often without merit. Glad he finally got caught. The suspension is deserved thanks to the obvious intent, regardless of how light a hit it ended up being.

I'm disappointed that there's been no further mention of the hit from behind that took Wallin out of the game though. Everyone got all upset because Eriksson ran into Murray, but Wallin got boarded and hurt and no one seems to care...

 

Go easy on him. It's been years since he's committed veheicular homocide.

Totally agree, I'm definitely not a heatley fan, he may score goals but thats about it. I have been impressed somewhat this year that he's layed out some big hits but that doesn't make up for shit.

The Wallin hit is a great example of how the NHL has no clue of what the fuck the're doing. If they want to send a message they need to show some consistency.

BTW the instigator rule needs to go away, guys like Ott would vanish.
