It's a completely new Mayor & City Council that worked out the previous with deal for the stadium. It was such a bad deal for the city that everyone was voted over it. They new it and didn't put up much of a fight. The new city leaders want to make a deal but not by raping the tax payers to keep it.

The location of that stadium is so stupid. It's on the far side of town. So most fans can't get off work and drive out there in time for the start of the 2nd period.

I want them to stay, but I would be surprised if they do.

Yup was a hard time for most Canadian hockey teams. The exchange rate was bad and players salaries were escalating at a very fast pace.

 

There not in Phoenix, that's part of the problem, they are in Glendale.
