I have had Good luck with Bauer lately. I have the x50's like them alot.

I want the Vapor apx2 due to the injected moduled for the laces. But i am not going to dump 800 bucks into a skate

 

yeah the bauers look like they lightened up a lot. When i played college some teammates couldn't get a season out of them, but i think these days, all the light skates dont last like the old heavy skates used to. Like I said i now use light weight eastons that are a model or two down from the top and just expect to replace them more often.

i want to go try the new bauers.

I use to roll my eyes when adults said this when I was a kid, but the truth is, skates are not made as well as they were years ago. I go through a pair every couple years and I dont even play very competitive. One of my favourite was the Vector 10 ovechkin skate a few years back. Going to get some Grafs this time though.
Gloves I dont think anyone beats Warrior for just regular hockey play, and not super protective shot blocking ones. Mine are so loose cuff feeling its like Im playing street hockey again. I also usually use a Bauer stick. Kanes curve is just amazing

 

I find Grafs are much more like the skates of yore. The lace loops don't pull up to 90 degrees at the top like most seem to today. I have been very happy with mine. I did not find them the obvious choice upon immediate feel, but they broke in quick and now I don't notice they are on unless they are dull.

It's hilarious how the Kings had to beat insane teams like the ducks, sharks, and hawks 3 in a row and now just have to beat the shit rangers to win the cup lol. Man what a backwards schedule

 

Ducks, Sharks, Hawks would all be crushing the Rags.
