Toronto is the definition of hot and cold. When everyone plays the system, digs hard, and keeps up a fast pace they can play with any team in the league. Some days though they just don't show up and that's what frustrates fans like me. Btw I actually like the Leafs line up and I hope shanny can figure out a way to get more consistent effort out of all the players. I don't know if they need new coaches or better leaders in the room and honestly, no one else does either at this point no matter what the FB and keyboard GM's try to say. Blowing up the team won't help anything at this point, not when they still show so many flashes of promising play.

Also Reimer needs to go. He is a great guy and a decent player but he falls apart far to often and I think a fresh start will help him with another team.

Yeah but Bourque sucks , might as well have traded Allen for a ham sandwich

 

Last I heard he's still trying to get into the U.S. He could play a game or two with Perry and Getzlaf. They have been shuffling a few guys in that spot all season. It would be nice to have someone stay there.
Maroon and Beleskey are on that line now that I know of.

 

Have you seen Allen play? He has a hard shot but can't aim it for shit.

It's sad really. For a few years in Calgary Bourque showed flashes of 40 goal scorer type talent. He could never keep his effort level consistent though. Too bad, I hate seeing talent like that wasted.

 

I can appreciate how frustrating it is to watch an inconsistent effort. The Jets have been playing that game ever since they arrived in Winterpeg. Acquiring a couple of good, hard working players and a skilled coach appears to have brought the team up to a new level....so far.

If Eric Staal or a similar lead by example type player becomes available TO needs to go all in on them IMHO. Until then I'm not going to go crazy, I'll enjoy the winning streaks and ignore the blow outs.
