    If they don't sign him they need to trade him. You can't go to summer with him and get nothing. That's the leafs number one mistake. Signing players to contracts to high has been a problem with Phaneuf and Clarkson. Everyone else is paid close to market value IMHO. Lupul is arguable but when he was signed his healthy streak was at it's best and he was the captain if not in name than in the room.

    Actually, even more of a mistake is not signing Franson to a long term deal in the 3 million per year range a couple of years ago when that's what he wanted. Nonnis and Burke are truly terrible when it comes to signing players. I can't wait for Calgary to be in the same problem in several years.

    Anyone watching the Hawks/Pens game? I hate both teams so I don't know who to root for. haha as a Caps fan, I wish they could both loose. I think I'm pulling for the Hawks.
