Glad we got that sorted out without too much hassle

 

per Sportsnet :

"Crosby was sent off for tripping Blackhawks defenceman Johnny Oduya, drawing loud cheers from the crowd of 22,169. But replays showed Oduya went down on his own and the officials conferred before rescinding the penalty, allowing Crosby to leave the box."

So the officials huddled and one or more of them told the ref that made the call he was wrong .

 

Could you do us a favor and tell a bunch of your friends, save us the trouble of them having to figure it out on their own.

 

Since when is this done in the NHL?

No officials = No game. Well, no game you would want to watch anyways lol. I put on the stripes on the weekends for our local community/league. There's already talk about GoPro's being available on helmets for replay in the box (only visible to officials) on certain plays at the AA/AAA level. Technology is moving quickly, but I hope they still strive to find the balance where there is still some human element in officiating.

I think LA will need to call Mike up if Nick doesn't start showing some (anything)points.

Looks like LA is slowly getting back to that defensive shut down style but are still thin with departure of Mitchell and Voynov out.

Also not sold on McBain yet, but am liking McNabb ... anyone else notice his Blake like hip (butt) checks.
