    The biggest problems in Winnipeg were a shitty old arena the city owned that didn't generate any money for the team, salaries were getting out of control and the Canadian dollar was worth $.68 USD.
    Now there is a new arena, a salary cap, and the Canadian dollar is worth more than the USD, revenue sharing, a potential owner with deep pockets, and more corporate sponsers.
