I only watch it for the skills competition. I liked when they pick up Goudreau and "assisted" him to the goal last time.

 

I hope the NHL doesn't go too crazy with 3 on 3 , its not hockey

 

If I'm a player selected to show up at the ASG, and I'm being told there will be 3on3 (more ice to cover) I'm not happy. Because I will be hungover on the ice.

I will also say I'm leaning toward " not a fan " of the Coach's Challenge rather than " fan "

 

As a fan its probably sour grapes, but watching my team score what appears to be a game tying goal with 5 minutes left in the third celebrating high fiving etc, only to have it challenged and the mood of the game completely swings on the overturned call that may or may not have had an effect on the actual goal. Part of me says sure they got the call right, but as a fan it is not entertaining at all.

Just think about the fans on the other team thinking the exact opposite. If you were in their shoes you would love the challenge. Its just part of the game now I think, and getting it right I think is more important than 'entertainment'

 

Calling back goals after a 8 minute pause because somebody was 2" offside is stupid , so are the goals called back because a forward's jersey brushed against the goalie

Let the officials call the game , they are supposed to be part of it too

 

My team has been the victim, and the benefactor of the Coach's challenge. In each case, I found it to be a disgrace to hockey. It's flat out ridiculous.

 

Sportsnet was talking about the new All Star format prior to the Canucks / Jets game and they showed some All Star highlights from throughout the years , I totally forgot about Owen Nolan's " Called Shot " hat trick , lol

Very cool. It has always been a great tradition for promoting concerts...and artists for that matter

 

I am listening on the radio...they have both been losing and losing, it's no wonder they are grumpy
