WTF was with the ref waiting to drop the puck after the Canucks scored because the Lightning hadn't decided if they wanted to challenge or not

I hate the stupid coachs' challenge but if they're going to keep it they need a countdowm to call the challenge after a goal is scored like the NBA's shot clock

 

Would anyone object to the NHL "war room" reviewing every goal similarly to how some sports now review every scoring play? It'd take 30 seconds for a well trained team to judge the goal and then there would be no need for the challenge anymore...

 

Coachs' Challenge is a stupid waste of time IMO

I really think LA can win division AND the cup this year ... just going in the playoffs on top will save on the wear down factor and ALMOST guarantee a trip to the WC finals. From there it's up to the hockey gods on who moves on to the big dance.
