Its just because Tanev scored the winner , he only gets 2 or 3 goals a year on average

 

Anyone who calls themselves a hockey fan knows that they will gain Quick's 5.8mil of cap space when they put him on IR.

Hey, Ben Bishop's cap is 5.95mil... seems like a great fit to me...

plus , I think I can safely call myself a hockey fan seeing as I watch pretty much every game that is on tv for the whole season for like the last 40 years lol

Well that is a possibility, I don't argue that. And that could hold true even with Quick healthy all year. But that is a separate subject. Quick does not suck, no matter how much you want that to be true.

As far as the team, I feel like the locker room maybe isn't great. Maybe Sutter has wore out his welcome. The handling of the captain situation was bad. Brown was a fantastic captain and a huge reason for the success they had. He defined the team's whole demeanor and style of play. The drop-off in point production probably went hand-in-hand with the disorder in the room between Sutter and the players (supposedly so many closed-door, players-only meetings etc). Plus, I don't think the team is over-loaded with talent, but when they get hot and play to their strengths, they are just tough to beat. Just my opinion.
