Bobby Ryan has a broken hand or something, supposedly.

As far as Price, that is my whole point. He had a season and a half of a dream performance. That was never going to be sustained, but people thought that was going to be him 82 games for 10 years. Not going to happen. And a lot of his performances this year are not even the team's fault in front of him. Not hating, he's awesome but he is not superhuman.

I'd also add, it is not fair to Price, to have those expectations placed on him. He saved the team once and it was evident that when he was hurt, that he was missed. However, that should show the fans / management / media that the team is not THAT good. If you need a goalie to overachieve, to even be in the race, then that shows that you probably aren't a legit Cup contender.

    Haha well I hope not.

I think it is cool that a goalie is the favorite son, on that team. I just think the by product of that is probably unrealistic expectations, after he had a stretch there where he was unreal.

2 game suspension for Trouba on hit to Stone. Pretty light IMO considering Stone was out the rest of the game and completely changed the game.

Trouba had a good case for saying it was a miss timed hit. Was it brutal and game changing? Absolutely. Did Trouba appear to attempting to kill Stone with a head hit? It didn't look like it. That's probably why it's two games. TSN and Sportsnet have a couple of good articles on this that talk about how it would be nice to have a 5 minute major available to officials for this sort of hit because right now a minor is all they can give. 5 minutes and 2 games probably would of been a better fit for this type of mishit to the head.

I watched that game. That was pretty awesome. Our local boy, Trocheck too! Allen didn't even see the puck at all.

Each of the top 2016 draft picks really showed their strengths. Matthews 3 assists setting up line mates left and right while Laine had a couple of great individual effort goals.

Sens took lead of Atlantic... for 5 minutes. Things are getting tight in the standings.

Sens are solid. Just sucks they have a few big injuries at the moment. The Atlantic is interesting for sure, right now.

The Leafs need Marner back if they want to hang around in the Atlantic.

A really good discussion I heard on the radio yesterday focused on the dark days of February. Historically rookie heavy teams have trouble in the month of February because that's when the grind has fully set in and it's too far from playoffs to really drum up excitement. I think if the Leafs can get into the middle of March in a playoff spot then they will have a chance. If they're more then a few points out though then their goose is cooked.

I feel like NYI is going to be the biggest problem for the Leafs.

Mainly because I think FLA is going to finish in the 3. They seem to be playing much better. I see no other threat to them front the Atlantic, unless Tampa makes a big run (which is possible). But NYI and Leaf for that last Wild Card is what I think is the main battle there.
