From the NHL Hockey Operations Guidelines:

Rookie Qualifications
To be considered a rookie, a player must not have played in more than 25 NHL games in any preceding seasons, nor in six or more NHL games in each of any two preceding seasons. Any player at least 26 years of age (by September 15th of that season) is not considered a rookie.

He only played 13 games last year. Murray is eligible for the Calder Trophy this season. (Rookie of the Year for the uninitiated, which I'm beginning to suspect you are)

Always liked the game with an up-tempo style, which the Pens have tried to play for most of their existence. Never liked the goonery - No problem with a couple guys ironing out their differences, but as a long-term strategy? - not so much.

 

Which team in Canada do you root for again?

 

Murray played well, but it won't matter who is in front of the net if the Pens keep playing like that in their own zone. It's downright awful.

Sullivan needs to fix this sooner rather than later. It's happened multiple games now where the team just vanishes, but I guess it's good we could only lose one game tonight.

Why would we eat our words? Sens in the first two games were boring. Nothing changes that, much like the Pens can't change the shit show they just ended up on the far left side of. Without Fleury shitting himself this game would of only been a bit better then the first two games. Once Ottawa smelled blood they kept there foot down and that made for an exciting game.

 

I swear with all this protesting you must love me or something. Should I expect a ring in the mail? Maybe I should console your wife before the big break?

Murray was fine. As much as I like seeing MAF on this run, I think Murray might get the net tomm night. He's just more sound with his play-style. Maybe the more calm, efficient goalie back there might help things. Obviously, that won't matter as far as not being able to score goals etc. But my reasoning is that the Pens seem like they could be a bit rattled right now. So I would rather run with your top guy, who has less tendency to melt-down and play irratic. No knock on MAF but that is how I'm looking at it. Everyone is convinced (around here) that MAF gets the net w/o question, but I think 30 will start.
