Sure, Ottawa did a great job of frustrating the Penguins, but I expect this series to get much better as the games go by. Nashville could have won this game. It leaves me optimistic for a good series.

 

I was beginning to think that once the score was tied, but the way Pitt seemed to get the go ahead goal with ease, makes me think they were just toying with them the whole game.

I do think Sully will not hold back the reigns as much, giving they get another early lead in the next game.

Pitts defense was top notch (most of the game) and bottom line .... that wins championships.

 

I like your enthusiasm, but they were flat except for maybe 15 minutes of the game. That was not good hockey from the Penguins, but now we know that ole Pekka can be scored on without much pressure.

 

Only reason the Pens won that game is Rinne let in 2 goals he usually wouldn't

If he becomes airtight again Nashville can win it

 

Almost two whole periods without a shot...not something that'll be able to continue

 

If the games continue like the one tonight the series will be over in 6. With the Preds hoisting the cup

 

Ha, if all this negative talk of how bad Pitt played is true, this makes Nash look even worse !

Pitt can play better, Nash - not so much. The better team won and will win the series.

I'm not worried at all about how the Pens played. They have been doing that all year. They sat on the lead and got burned. Once it was tied up, they went down and scored. After they got that 4th goal, it never looked like Nashville had a sniff at tying it up. Also, I don't care what anyone says Murray > Rinne.

 

Pitt played their worst game of the playoffs and won and Nashville played a very good game and lost . . .

Just read an article on lastt nights catfish toss. Apparently the guy had it vacuum sealed in Nashville. Took it to Pittsburgh and snuck it into the arena in his compression shorts
