Yeah, I think if anything maybe he's testing the waters to see what the value is. Their are interested parties I'm sure though I'm not sure that all of them would have the Ottawa fans best interests at heart as much as Melnyk does.

There was rumblings of an Alfredsson led group which would likely keep those interests, but I do agree that at times these groups start off with good intentions then change over time. Who knows though, everything is pure speculation ATM

 

Reading about the surgery they had to do in order to repair his neck the first time there is no way he should of ever been cleared to play again. Period.

 

I’ll find the specific one when I get home but basically they had to cut through the front of his throat through his vocal cords to get to his spine and rebuild a disc and part of a vertebrae using a large part of his hip. I’m not saying that the Canucks were wrong to let him play, but his neck was never going to be as stable as it was before the surgery and it’s not surprising, yet still sad, this happened.

 

Yes, in the simplest terms his neck work was complex because of multiple procedures involved and is breaking down so he can quit now or risk sever injury or death. Not the way anyone should have to leave the sport.

Well it looks like the Leafs fell asleep for a bit in the second but all is well that ends well. 4 out of 4 points in Alberta.

I also want to add some karma might be at play there. Before the game and after the warm up Matthews and Marner threw several pucks into the stands to waiting Leafs fans, mostly kids. When you do good shit like that, good things come to you.

 

Nice to see LA back on top in the pacific! Marion Gaborik is back and looks healthy with a 2G night.

 

So on that note they should win almost every game in Canada cause damn their is a ton of Leafs fans at every away game. They should throw the whole bag of pucks!
