They should, but they're so streaky. They should have beat NYI tonight but they decided to only play the first period and the last 2 minutes of the 3rd period

 

That's not going to make the fans any happier though. Might make the fans even more upset.

At the end of the day he's the owner and hes responsible for the product he puts out there.

I do agree that Ottawa is at times rough with the Sens (re: attendence) but it is so much more complicated then just 'not showing up'. The rink is legit in the middle of a farm field, takes forever to get to with crappy transit. Companies arent buying many tickets cause civil servants in Ottawa cant get them legally. Civil servants have been nailed by the whole Phoenix Pay scandal and most are barely hanging on financially. The Ottawa market is wedged between Toronto and Montreal which steal lots of potential fans. Population base in the Greater Ottawa Area is barely at 1mil, compared to most other teams out there. I mean the list goes on and on.

Its easy to point fingers, and IMO he went about it the wrong way.

 

Really happy with the Ottawa game tonight. Was one hell of a spectacle and really enjoyable to watch. Sens came out ready to play and Habs (other than Price) had nothing to say. Should have been a 5-0 game had it not been Price standing on his head.

Now THAT's the Sens of last year that we needed to see, and we need to see every game. Lots of hockey to play, we're not out yet.

 

The Ottawa river valley is a bit over 2 million actually but, yeah, lots of issues and you nailed most of them on the head. At the end of the day the civil servant restrictions, where companies don’t buy tickets because they can’t give them to civil servants, are a huge factor that no change of address is going to fix in Ottawa.

Gary did go on the mike tonight and say the Sens aren’t moving. I’ll leave that open for interpretation.

It's a business though and he's telling it like it is. He's filthy rich so I don't think he cares about the fans being mad, he can just sell or move the team. The rink can be anywhere and they still get leafs fans some that says sometime
