Usually vets get optional skates or practices and such, not games off. Maybe a game off towards the end of the season when a playoff spot is locked in, but mid season?

Allstar roster is such a joke. Not that it matters but it is just annoying. Kessel is the only Penguin that deserved to go. I get Sid but Letang? No, he's been hideous this year. Should've been Ghost or Carlson in that spot. Price prob should not go either but I get it. Sucks that Andersen or Howard can't go when they deserve it more (imo). There are always 'snubs' and especially with the current format, so I get it. Just making a point that it sucks for guys who are having a good year and deserve it but lose out to name value or roster structure.

 

There appears to be more that goes into the choosing than what players deserve what. It's a promotional tool that the league uses how they feel is best. I have never been a huge fan, but if they are going to be featuring 3 on 3 play, it could be fun.

 

Did you all hear about the trade Duclair to the Blackhawks for Panik?

 

Yeah, I don't think it's as amazingly huge as they are making it to be. Two under performers traded to try and get them going again with a few other bits involved.
