Okay, want to explain to me how the PK Subban anger slash on Mark Stone was just a major yet this play deserves three games?

Other than 2 years of time it doesn't make sense, especially since according to the leagues own rules Kadri is not a repeat offender (he's had a clean record for over 18 months.)

No Blue or Rose colored glasses here. It was a reckless charging penalty. Three games in the playoffs on a 30 goal scorer though for what is likely a faked injury on a goon who took a head shot at a star player? Bullshit, especially after Doughty got one. I could of accepted two games but three is a joke just like this league.

We will see if the Leafs can battle through it. Tough, especially when the mental readiness wasn't there at all for game one.

The NHL came down on him because of his intent on that play. He was looking to hurt Wingels (probably due to the elbow on Marner - which for the record should have been called).

But last I checked Kadri does not wear a zebra uniform.

He doesnt get to punish other players for missed calls. He took 'the law' in his own hands, and is lucky Wingels bailed out in time or else that was going to be devastating injury for sure.

When every pro-leafs CBC announcer all say that it was a bad hit, that Kadri was looking for blood, and Kadri has had prior suspensions, then I'd say the NHL has a pretty good case.

At the end of the day he made a selfish and dirty decision looking for retribution, and its going to cost his team a (as you said) 30 goal scorer for 3 more games. Hes got no one to get mad at but himself on this one.

 

As far as the Mark Stone/PK 'microfracture' incident, I think we are all in agreement that PK should have been suspended on that one. So really you are only enforcing the point the NHL is trying to make.

What point? That the league is a joke because there is no consistency? I'm not upset in the least that Kadri was suspended. I agree with your points, the modern game doesn't allow for head hunting or retribution which means Kadri had to be disciplined. What I'm arguing is, why is it that TO gets to feel that discipline now in what might be a tight series? Could this not of been settled with two games? No, instead the league has to set an example on a player that doesn't even meet their definition on paper of a repeat offender. The NHL is a joke league that loses fans though inconsistent rules and lockouts, that's all I'm going to say. There is probably a reason why I'm the only guy at work that even pays attention to the NHL anymore. Everyone else jumped ship during or after the last lockout to other sports leagues.
