If Pens get blown out tonight, I'd have Coach Q on the phone. I'm sick of watching them play pick-up hockey, every night. Basically ruined Murray in the process lol. Watch Sheary get a hatty tonight (props to him if he does. Always liked him). Go Pens.

 

How about blowing a 4-1 lead and losing in OT? Granted they are playing without Crosby and using a backup goalie.

 

That'll do it to, as far as I'm concerned. I just don't like the guy and haven't ever. But hard to argue when you win 2 Cups. But things have snowballed for me and I'm to the point where I think his message is garbage. And he isn't going to change. This team should be much better than they are and the last 2 years, the way they place is just not right. They pinch the D at the wrong times and the only thing that results is turn-overs. And when they do pinch, instead putting it to the net and on the pad for a rebound, they try to pick a top corner. The result is a miss, the puck goes around the horn and feeds transition for the other team, trapping that dfenseman. Happens all the time. Like last night, no reason for Oleksiak to be in the O-zone circle and then the last guy in your D-zone going the other way. He gives you nothing down low in the O-zone, so stop pushing him down there. Letang, Dumo and Schulz (when healthy) should be the only guys allowed to pinch up that far. They constantly try to fly the zone and make horrible passes through the middle. You have 3 guys that like to lug the puck, 87, 81 and 87. So those guys can carry into the zone, like they always do. Set-up and use your skill to cycle. Instead they try to pass cross-rink on the rush 95% of the time and it never connects. This is like basic stuff And Sulli trashes guys like Sprong and Kessel in the media for their (lack of) defensive play. Meanwhile those are wingers and have the least defensive responsibility on the team, but not a word about his defensemen or centers who always have other teams forwards behind them, going to the net. Very frustrating, but they don;t want to change so they deserve to lose like they did last night.
