Ya it seems like they wanted Brass gone. And guys we got are fine. But like you said, 1st rounder for Reeves, then Cole and Reeves are gone (physical players)and you get Brass. Then we need size again and get Bigrig. This year, we trade him and suddenly we need size again. Just weird. But hey, overall im happy with the roster. Get ZAR back, Schultz and that is solid. Blueger looks good etc. See what happens.

It seems like Brassards entire career has been a series of moves because he was good but didn’t fit in. The Rangers and Sens both talked about how he was a great skilled big body player who needed a fresh start, before offloading him a couple of years later. Seems similar to the Pens.

The Leafs are frustrating as heck lately. Play a lacklustre game against a bad team one night, and then play a good game against a good team the next. This team has to find some consistency or they’ll be done in the first round again.

Great game tonight. Not sure on TV but live it felt like the Leafs way outplayed the pens.

They didn't look good Friday but it wasn't as bad as people are saying. Too young still and believe their own hype. Once playoffs come and the media is hard on them instead of calling them God it will be different

You were there so that’s encouraging to hear. I guess I’m simply concerned with the body of work they put in after Christmas. They’ve been hurt with injuries, I think Ennis on the fourth line is far more important than people realize, but still there’s room to improve consistency before the trial by fire that is the playoffs. I wouldn’t mind one more trade for a heart and soul type depth guy. Maybe Ferland if the ask isn’t too high.

I don't really want to see much more added myself. I really liked the Dermott-Gardiner pairing last night though, they didn't let anyone in the zone easy or at all. I would honestly like to see them dump Zaitsev somewhere, keep Hainsey cheap around 2 mil and resign Gardiner if he comes at a fair price.

That might be the best dcore in the last 10-15 years for this style of game these days

I’m not sure what happened to Zaitsev. It feels like after his last injury he never came back with the same level of play.

Gardiner I’m on the fence about. He either makes you wonder how he made it out of the AHL or plays like a top four D, and you never know which version of him you’re going to get.

Right now I like him because he's only 4 mil cap hit and your not getting more than that out of 4 mil on the blueline. The way he attacks in the neutral zone is hard to notice on the eye test and why he gets bashed a lot. I won't like him much over 5-5.5 mil though

Pens came out decent. Leafs came on strong though. I wouldn't say way outplayed, it was back and forth. But Leafs deserved the W.
