Tonight, the Flyers became the first team ever to have 8 different starting goalies in one season...What a disgraceful organIzation!

 

Ok, ill agree that some of them went over the top. I am ok with them booing him because they feel like he left the team and the team got nothing in return. If I were a fan I would be equally upset with the GM and how they handled it.

 

I think it should be noted that Tavares wasn't just some player on the team. He was the face of the Islanders franchise. Maybe he really didn't plan on leaving, but that seems hard to swallow. He and the Islanders management should have been able to reach an understanding and if he was moving on he should have let them move him to a contender last trade deadline for some asset. just my opinion.

Did u see the islanders first goal last night? Go watch the replay... even the dude who scored thought it was offside, and said as much in an interview. He basically just coasted in thinking the play would be stopped and tipped it in because everyone thought the play was dead

 

I understand why Pens fans don't like this call, but if you watch the play Dahlin actually has control of the puck and makes a move to go around the Pens player. Just because the puck isn't on his stick doesn't mean he isn't controlling it. The NHL rule says if the player is controlling the puck they can actually cross the line ahead of the puck and still be on side.

 

If he has control that's the right call but ibhate the rule. It should just be any part of the player has to be over the line, fuck the whole touching the ice, and also get rid of the blue line cameras so coaches will only challenge the obvious ones. Not to be biased but the Hyman goal that got called back the other day was inches and only because the skate was lifted. Who the fuck cares about the skate and inch off the ice. The game is getting out of hand lately and needs to be fixed

Canucks are doing good this year for where they are in their rebuild

 

Eventually they'll put the same sensors in the smart pucks into skates. If both players skates cross the blue line before the puck does, offsides.

 

If he skates around someone without the puck, he isn’t in control or possession of the puck any longer. It’s a gray area rule that the league can’t decide on how it should be implemented and it’s garbage.

If you’re across the line before the puck, it should be offsides. Stop being cute with the rule changes.

I know the rule. I’m saying that’s not control. The league can’t decide how to interpret it.

I understand what you are saying. The still photo makes it look like he is not in control of the puck, but if you watch video of the play imo he is.
I doubt it matters for the Sabres but if the Pens miss the playoffs by a point I can see why Pens fans would be unhappy.
I dislike the offsides challenges in general. I wish they would go away and let the lineman make the calls good or bad.

 

Even if the Pens make the playoffs, which I don’t think they will because Matt Murray is somewhere between absolute trash and above average on any given day, they’re going to match up with Tampa and get shit on because of horrendous goal tending.

I miss MAF. I think Murray is best when he’s about to ride the pine / has a starter backing him up so he can play loose knowing he can be saved.
