Did not expect this type of outcome from the Canes so far in the playoffs. Have won 7 of last 8. Insane. I've been living in Raleigh for the last 8 years, and I would rarely see any Canes gear or car decals/flags/etc while out and about. Now I'm seeing them multiple times a day. Amazing what winning does. Let's go Canes!

I agree with one thing for sure in the article, the longer Marner waits to sign with the Leafs the more damage it does to his brand. If he thinks he's undervalued just wait until he's getting 60 points a year on a line that doesn't have Tavares on it.

If Marner seriously offer sheets the Leafs at Matthews numbers, let him walk. We can get a lot of mid level back end help with 11 million AAV.

 

If someone signs him for 11 it's a team who is garbage and has the space, and the picks willing be mint. I agree.
Just think of teams who are put of the playoffs and wanting to retool/rebuild. They will do anything for unprotected picks. ST Louis (until Binnington) would have traded Parayko in a second for 2 I bet. Then you are sitting there with him and two 1sts. That's hysterical

 

Watching the Canes, about to sweep the Isles. Do any of you hockey guru's know how many teams (if any) swept a series then was swept the next series ??

 

I’m not taking anything away from the Isles. Don’t overthink it. The Isles were all goaltending. They were the best team in net for all year and most of the first round. When their goaltending stumbled they fell hard. Good on the Canes for finishing them off quickly.

 

I read that the number is 9.

I had no routing interest in either team, I just don’t recall it happening, at least not in recent memory.

 

Been some great hockey in the playoffs this year. As the Isles, Penguins, Bolts and Caps have found being the “better” team hasn’t meant much and like usual the team who wants it more is prevailing.

Can’t say my Bruins have played their best hockey yet and have given Columbus so many turnovers, short handed attempts and chances that we should be in deeper trouble than a tied series indicates. Rask is finally dialed in and confident. I am truly worried when he gets rattled.

Tonight is going to be a great game.
