I was listening to Sirius XM on a road trip which was playing the Vegas-Leafs game with the Vegas feed and those announcers were talking about how good Toronto was playing and kept fighting back. You could tell they thought Vegas was going to get beat again and were preparing the Golden Knight audience for another let down. Didn't happen but the point is the players were not tanking.

LOL I'll leave it for a bit. Still makes sense. I'm pretty sure Babcock had no idea he would be canned this early. I find it funny reading some Leafs editorials, I didn't realise how serious some people were that they wanted Babcock fired last summer. Oh well, I'm not holding my breath for much improvement.

 

Babcock to Detroit, I'm calling it now. Not that the Wings need him necessarily since they're years out from competing but I could see Yzerman making a change back to Babcock.
