Los Angeles has the best fans in Cali the rest are cookie-cutter bandwagoners

I am a massive hockey fan but nowhere I ever go/visit/website even has Cali fans. But here there's some on all teams chirping each other. You get to see a side of hockey I never get to. Love it

I have been watching the Kings since the early 90's when a buddy at work had season passes to the Great Western Forum. His dad would miss a lot of games so he would take me or give me all three tickets for free. I would trade those for one ice level ticket.

Same, in b4 the sharks and ducks were teams. Lived closer to Anaheim but stayed with my team. You ever stay for the games played after the Kings game ? Gretzky ended up sitting behind us at one game we stayed late for .. even signed my friends 'gamenight' hockey program.

Looks like that crazy awesome streak started 40 some years after their first season and during one of the most important times in a bandwagoners life...

 

Not too much with the players but Bob and Jim were great to talk to after the game. Very approachable. We did go to the practice rink a lot when it was in the Northridge Iceoplex. Saw Gretsky, Robitaille and Blake there many times.

One funny thing that happened was the glass had shattered behind the goal. Larry Robinson waved a folder full of papers to warn the players not to shoot. One guy (I don't remember now) miss read what he was doing and shot the puck directly at the folder. Papers went flying everywhere and the puck narrowly missed hitting my brother and bounced around the stands.

 

I think hockey is doing well on the west coast. I do think Cali fans on here can give Canadian fans a run for their money as far as how much they talk trash.

 

He should have made that save. He had definitely been a little sketchy lately for the Sabres. Anderson looked strong for the Leafs.

 

Ya both games were sloppy. Hutchinson was garbage in the first game and then Hutton in the second. First live games I really didn't overly like the hockey

What was the Canucks best moment? Not a whole lot to remember. It's kind of like the Nashville thing. You hang banners for whatever is positive when not much has happened in your history.

 

That's right ster, at least 52 years ago the leafs had a great moment.
