Yeah I'm still around, once in a while.
Question....or rather, thoughts....

The recent 'fireworks' with the Oilers and the fLames. It's made for some (much smaller) fireworks on my FB. Where I live - and the friends I grew up with - pretty much a split, right down the middle. I find that my flamers friends are far more vocal....and this led to a small amount of trash talking, last night - which is always a bit enjoyable. But it brought up an interesting thought. And I have to think that it's fully a 'bias' thing.
My 'friend' made a Post - to which I commented, that I hoped my man Kassian stomps on "turtle boy" again. The convo went on, and this person was unhappy with my statement. And this is the part I'm confused with. I stated that Kassian is generally respected in the NHL, and is somewhat known as a quality guy, and player. Especially considering this past. And that Tkachuck is more or less a piece of shit, and generally viewed as a classless little turd, maybe only a step or two above Marchand. And, obviously, this person highly disagreed with me.

This (small) focus group has a pretty broad view, of the the NHL. What are the thoughts here? I'm sure I have my bias - and this person has theirs. And I do remember that before the Oilers picked up Zack....I was DEFINITELY not a fan of his. And I was actually quite pissed when the Team picked him up. But I quickly changed my tune. And I'm now of the thought....that behind McDavid and Draisaitl, Kassian is my 3rd favorite player!

 

Kassian is a meathead that has turned his career around and benefits from playing with skilled line mates

Tkachuk is a douche that has some scoring touch but his primary role is being a douche

OZ-T would of sucked off Kessler for a wooden nickel but hates Kadri and Marchand even though they all play or played the same game. It's the same with your case. Skilled agitators piss off everyone except their own teams fans. Tkachuck is good at what he does but with Kassian he bit too hard. Now he has to answer the bell everytime they play and he does something stupid which looks funny because, unlike Kadri or Marchand, Tkachuck can't fight worth a shit.

I was glad the Oilers beat the shit out of the Flames on Saturday. After that Gio cheap shot on McDavid at the game I was at they deserved it.

 

I just hate the Oiler fan base too much to like seeing them do anything
