Not bad. Our bottom 6 is pretty stagnant, since our lineup is pretty beat in general atm. So nice insurance as a bottom 6 guy.

 

Rumors around Parise and the isles?? I thought him and Suter would be stuck here forever with the contracts they have.

 

Isles have tons of cap IIRC. I wouldn't be surprised if they push for some assets that others won't but it's probably not a great idea for them in the long term.

I love him and he can still play, but he's not the same guy. And that contract is brutal. I just saw the money penalty if he retires before the contract. Insane. But Minn has to pay it, not NYI. But NYI is obviously on the hook for his Cap while he plays (7.5.) If they have the space, then he is kind of a good fit, with how he plays etc.

 

I love him as a player but he’s just not what he used to be. He still goes out and gets beat to shit in front of the net and works hard, but for 7.5 mill a year for another five years it’s just not worth it. So if we can dump that contract I’m fine with it. It’s hard to rebuild with an aging player taking up that kind of money
