TBF with five minutes left in game one they called they exact same penalty on Spezza (someone stepped on his stick.)

I laughed hard at the reaction though. Like his coach much? I guess at least he didn't try to punch the ref.

 

It was funny though and hoesntly pretty childish. You didn't see Edmonton flipping out even after their loss about the playoff format. Whenever something odd or out of touch with the league is happening, you can bet it's happening in Raleigh lol.

 

To be clear I actually like the Hurricanes. I like their front office overall and I like the team (apart from a certain nameless ex-fLamer, who is kind of a bum.) I just chuckle a bit because it seems like in the last two years when something dumb counter to the league is going to come up, you can bet it comes up either in Carolina or related to Carolina.

 

The Canes know how to fire up a great fan base, I love how the “storm surge” celebration after a home win triggered announcer Don Cherry lol. I still like that guy though, too bad political correctness took him off. I’m pulling for the home boys but not gonna do any woofing after last years playoffs vs Bruins - unless they win the Stanley Cup
