Good to see two games now where LA actually won when he scores ! ... good sign and to see #32 get his focus back.

 

It is great that all the old guys are getting their games back. It's a bonus that some of the prospects are slowly making their way into the system and are making an impact.

I am not expecting miracles but after years of rooting for a sub par team that finally reached to two Stanley cups I can be patient for a possible return to a possible 3rd one in the not to distant future.

 

Yeah this team is getting better ..remember before the plandemic shorted the season, Kings had longest winning streak going into coughoffs errr playoffs.

This year let everyone say people like DD are washed up while LA slowly gets everyone on the same page I mean the season is young and Kopi isn't even warmed up yet. Be interesting if 23 can hold goal lead but even more interesting who he inspires to surpass him.

 

5 game lead for the Leafs in the North

 

Pens with a hard earned win against the Isles, 3-2, in Crosby's 1000 game. They had a nice pre game ceremony for him. The post game show had a stat: Crosby is 3rd, all time, in points per game for those who have played at least 1000 games, behind the Great One and Marcel Dionne. Not bad company, especially since the two ahead of him played in the era where scoring was much easier. All 3 goals in this game for the Pens came from the D, 2 by "surprise, surprise Sgt. Carter," - Kris Letang and the other by Matheson, who is starting to pick up his game. He was the center piece in the Horny trade and he needs to play well if he wants to make the trade not appear lopsided. Horny is doing the same thing he always does with Florida this season, that is on his way to another 20 goal season.

 

Lake Tahoe game was a disaster

 

Yep. Last I saw it was rescheduled for midnight ET, 9pm local time.

On the bright side Canes downed the TB Lightning 4-0, giving rookie goalie Alex Nedeljkovic his first shutout.

If anyone’s still up at 12:00am ET, The delayed outdoor Lake Tahoe game between Avalanche and VGK has just restarted, showing on NBCSN. Only gonna watch a little myself too, late for me on the East Coast.

 

I also like the Colorado Nordiques kit

 

The Kings are surprising me considering the rebuild they are going thru.

4 wins in a row. No cup predictions but it is nice to see them playing well.

 

Ain't that the truth. Man, that game took longer than the drive to the Stanley Cup.

I watched it. VGK looked awful, in my opinion

 

Having to go to a night game also totally lost the excitement of seeing an outdoor NHL game, that’s to bad. It was amazing to see during the daylight.

It was, but VGK looked better after dark. Unfortunately, 34°F and sun doesn't help ice, especially without any sort of chillers.
