I like him in the 3C spot but sounds like they might want him on Sid's wing to get some size up there. Jake and Rust really were getting pushing around last game. That line was pretty much getting shut down. So guess we will see how Sulli mixes it up.

 

I read MM's article today too! The current line configuration is not getting enough space to operate. I think Carter would be a good add to the line. Malkin needs to play and quit taking penalties.

I actually didn't know there was an article but I just saw chatter on Twitter. That must've been where it came from. I'm not opposed to it, if it happens. Gotta get the top line going. But I'd still rather have Carter on 3rd line, ideally.

I can't believe Jets came back lol. Wow. What a brutal loss for Oilers. They actually had some jump, their big guns playing better, had a big advantage in shots/chances. Helle was still good though, considering. But the 2nd half of the 3rd I was in disbelief. And that set play in OT was magical. Great win.

 

LOL, I left it was 3-1 for the Oilers and the Oilers had all the jump. I turn on my phone tonight and they managed to lose 5-4 in OT, somehow. This is just silly lol.

 

So Matthews versus McDavid in the post season?

Matthews has a balanced sheet. He's scoring, playing defense, delivering hits (including catching Gallagher open ice), dominant in the dot, and he's clearly vocal on the bench.

McDavid isn't scoring, he's ineffective in his own end, he literally can't hit, he's average in the dot, and the only reaction he showed on the bench last night was after they lost in OT.

Is this still a debate whose the real MVP. The Leafs could lose but Matthews is doing everything he can to prevent that.

I see a lot of excuses being made that he got 3 points last night, so he "did his job." No he literally did not do his job lol. He's doing none of the things that you mentioned above. Also, his production came by stacking the top line which let's Jets easily win the match-up battle. Lol. So yes, I think you are 100% on this but so many ppl see he got a couple points and think that's him playing well.

 

Pens are taking years off of my life with this bullshit.
