I don't mind the Leafs' Beiber jerseys but the Kings' chrome dome helmets are fucking tragic

I open skate with the wife Tues and Thurs for an hour. Pick up games Fri and Sat and league games sprinkled in between. In fact a guy on our league team is the son of another Cleveland Crusader goalie BoB Whidden. Hes pretty good.
So hockey and MTB riding eat up all my time

That's awesome. Sounds like you see a lot of ice time, which is great. I think it's awesome when guys keep playing. My wife's dad is your age and still plays too. Her whole family is really involved (that's how I met her actually.) It's really cool. Hopefully I can keep playing but I'm pretty beat up from hockey, BMX and MX over all these years lol. So I'll do what I can, for as long as I can. That's cool that you MTB too. That's something that I have done more over the years too.

I know a few regulars in here play. And 1 guy refs. So it's always cool to hear that the guys in this thread are still out there playing.

So what NHL team do you cheer for, from that area? Being that you are sort in the middle of 2 or 3 different teams.

I play once a week in a beer league in Rochester NY.

Call me crazy, but I'm starting to think the Sabres might be for real and could be a playoff contender this year.

So it's a good thing the Oilers have a LOT of fire power, and get lots of goals. This Campbell soup guy is sure leaky!!!

They mentioned many times that Sullivan has been preaching to the team that they haven't played a 60minute game since the opening 4 games, which is correct. That's been pretty much the story of each loss, if you watch the game. Things went sideways on the road trip out west, which is correct. And they had injuries to key guys along that time (Jake G, Zucker, Letang, Bluegar etc ) which is also correct. It's not so much making excuses as much as reporting what has been happening. They look terrible the last 2 weeks. There is no escaping that, but it doesn't mean the other things that I just mentioned didn't happen either.

Brutal lol. Same thing yet again. Play pretty good. get a lead and then fall asleep. It's such an odd pattern. I don't understand. The signature play was when the net was empty and Buffalo clears it but their forward beats Letang back to wave off the icing and then score. Just the added kick in the nuts that we deserve so such a pitiful effort.

They are starting to come around with a nice team. Good young players and the pieces added from the Eichel trade were actually solid. If they stay the course, that'll be a decent team. Still no excuse for the Pens to blow another game in that manner, but credit to the Sabres. They played hard and earned it.

Also, side note, I liked both RR unis last night. My only complaint for the Pens is that the pants need to be solid black. The classic pants stripe doesn't look right with the Robo Penguin jersey and stripes.

In the Pens defense they were on the second night of a back to back and had to travel to Buffalo. I like both jerseys, but think the Sabres would have looked better with blue pants instead of the white.

I hear you. But both games they had a big enough lead to put those games away and blew it. After letting that happen at home vs Boston, chasing Ulmark and then Swayman getting hurt, making Ulmark have to come back in. Having a PP in OT etc and still losing. You better come out swinging the next night, I don't care if it's back to back. And they did. Got the early jump, had a lead and crumbled. No excuses, as far as I'm concerned.
