That had to be hard to watch for the Shark fans to be up 2 with less than two minutes to go and then still lose the game. I almost stopped watching but then thought no, the Canes never give up and man what a win!

Horvat to NYI. Actually a decent return. Still probably stings a bit for the fans to see him go.

 

Aw man I was hoping he’d go to any team not in the Metro division since I didn’t think the Canes we’re gonna be able or willing for that payout.

 

I hear you. That's a haul for a guy that isn't locked up. I don't know enough about the Canes situation or if the have the assets or cap space for him. He should be decent in NYI. That sucks for the Pens too because I feel like we could be battling it out with NYI to get into the playoffs. At least you guys are safe there lol.

 

Canes should free up $7mil with Pacioretty back on LTIR however I have a feeling they want more than just a rental for the rest of the season so passed on Horvat whose expected to get a big increase in a contract for next season. They definitely need to pick up some scoring with Paci out.
Travelled to PA a lot for work and made friends there so I kind of like the Pens unless they’re playing the Canes of course.

 

Good point. Ya I think Horvat will get a nice raise. Basically that and the JT Miller contract is why Van can't keep him, I assume.

And that's cool you come to PA. Pens wagon has plenty of room for you. I'm still a Jordan Staal fan and don't mind the Canes. I like how they play.

Ya that is nice there. There are some cool places around here. Not a big city and maybe not the best for travel, but it has character.

 

Canes down 4-1 against the Kings in the third, score 3 goals straight to tie it, win it in overtime 5-4. Second big comeback win in the last three games.

Gonna start calling them the Cardiac Canes.

Kings are a good team, sure the fans are disappointed but they played great hockey first two periods. Canes fortunate and lucky as well to win that game. That’s the way games go sometimes and start of the season saw the Canes in the loosing side of games kind of like that.

 

Going for the Leafs to extend that streak going on in B land.
