Pens love to surprise everyone with impressive wins, after getting beat down. It's like either an impressive win or a horrific loss. Such a weird year.

 

It's all about the goaltending, at both ends. Last Night, Colorado's goalie was average and Jarry played well. In the game against the Sens, the Pens dominated, but that rookie goalie stood on his head and Jarrry let the winner in. The games prior to the Ottawa game saw NYR (2X) and Habs scoring 6,4 and 6. Can't win given up that many.

 

Ya that is true to an extent but in that Pens game I was just sitting there like "how are they making this nobody goalie look like he's in the HOF?" The Pens have a tendency to do that. I don't always buy into the excuse that we got stone-walled. Sometimes if you have some net presence and whatnot, you can change that around. And we don't, a lot of the time. But not totally taking credit away from that guy. He made some big saves. And yes, our goaltending has been spotty at best. I still like both guys but I expected more consistency this year from them.

 

That Sens goalie really did make some great stops. He was THE difference.

Canes trying to stay ahead of NJ Devils in the Metro for 1st place, Lighting solidly in 3rd place in the Atlantic. Should be a good game.

Lol oh Penguins, why do you do this to us? So bad to lose that game when they were in full control of our destiny. Made Mrazek (who has 1 win in 11 games,) look like a Hall of Famer.
