I'm stoked, rumors are rampant in Seattle that we're getting the NBA back and an NHL team. Reports are we're going to get the Kings or the Hornets and the Coyotes.

Anyone in Phoenix hearing this?

I don't think the NHL will pass on putting a team in the 12th largest market stateside. Huge hockey base here that has never been tapped.

The land is bought and the arena deal is suppose to be done very soon. Going to be built as a NBA/NHL arena just south of where Safeco, Mariners, are now.

I would suspect timing will dictate who gets a team first. The reason Winnipeg got a team when they did is because not only did they have an ownership group in place, but there was an NHL ready arena waiting to be moved into. These conditions existed at the time when Atlanta was in a position to need a new owner.
