Ive seen it plenty of times, nowhere close to as dirty as Bertuzzi's blow to the back/side of Steve Moore's neck. There are cheap ass hits like that all the damn time in the NHL man, I dont know if you watch hockey now a days

The hit was in open ice, and Naslund was in a vulnerable position. Yes I agree that hitting is a part of the game and one should accept it, but wake up man! If you watch the game you knoe that this is not how it is being played. Guys who lay a bit hit are often having to answer the bell. Especially if it is on a top player. Moore had an angry Bear skating behind him for 50 feet and chose to ignore it. This does not play out like a guy with a brain for self preservation...

I agree with this too. he should've manned up and dropped and it would've saved his career.

i think a major part of the game is to not be vulnerable. if you shouldn't hit a man in a vulnerable position anyone can run up and down the ice with their head down and look like a superstar.

the game to me is being able to make great plays WHILE keeping your head up and going into dangerous areas safely.

you take away the fear of getting freight trained we should just play soccer on ice then.

I didn't remember the nature of the hit, but either way he can get hit just like any other guy out there

    I completely agree with this^^

Furthermore, a guy should be able to lay a hit without having to scrap in order to back it up. This said, if you hit big, you should prepare to be hit. To me this is what is great about the game. I will take a game with big clean hits over big scraps any day of the week

To lighten things up a bit, you all look up "Chris Neil hit on Boychuk" on YouTube. I can't post a link from Tapatalk. This video will make your day

I doubt Bertuzzi intended to hurt Moore beyond making his ear ring for a while. Should Moore have manned up, I am sure Bert's intent would have been to feed him a few knuckle sandwiches. I don't think any player taking revenge desires any less than to inflict pain upon their opponent. However to argue that an avenging players intent is to seriously injure another(beyond temporary pain) is completely irrational. These guys aren't trying to debilitate each other, though likely are testing each others pain thresholds

You are an ass clown. That hit is terrible. Neil hid behind Pouliot then came out an hit Boychuk. Here is a good open ice hit.

The Neil hit on Boychuk was a clean hit. Neil stopped before hitting Boychuck (Not charging) and turned his shoulder into him, Boychuck had his head down, collided with him. Neil gets credit for the hit, but it was more of a collision than a hit.

McSorley is a piece of trash. I did see the court drawing of McSorley watching that video on eBay a while ago.
