Sean Leahy at Puck Daddy gives us NBC's plan if today's Rangers/Capitals game (12:30 p.m. start) goes into multiple overtimes and runs into the Kentucky Derby coverage which is scheduled to begin at 4pm. Derby post time is scheduled for 6:24pm...

"NBC has announced it will now have coverage through two overtimes on NBC, no matter what. If the game goes into a third overtime, it will switch to CNBC for the entire country, except for the New York and Washington markets, which will continue to have the game on NBC."

...nice to see hockey get some priority for once. Although I've got to be honest if this game does infringe on the Derby, I might have go picture-in-picture because I've got a couple of dollars on the race.

 

12pm games suck...... Someone in the NHL has their head up their ass with the TV scheduling.
