I originally picked the lightning for the finals, but then I remembered that they gave up 5 or 6 goals to the Sabres last weekend.. so thats gonna be a no for me.

 

I took a couple of wild swings in my bracket. You don't win the bracket by playing the favorites.

 

The biggest question mark for Tampa is which goaltender are they going to get in the first round, Vezina candidate Vasi or can't stop a beach ball Vasi. The end of the season was not kind for him in a few games which is concerning.

It was a PUBG reference, but seriously why would I pick the most likely teams to win? No chance to break out of the pack then in a friendly competition. Plus in today’s league it’s anyones game. I mean Tampa wasn’t even in the post season last year and Ottawa made it to the East finals. It’s anybodies year with the way the league is setup now. It’s fun and possibly rewarding to take a flyer on a team especially if they’re your favorite team.

 

I remember a pretty entertaining series from those teams not all that long ago. “Why everybody have to be mad?” Lol.

 

Are you sure about that? I can see the leafs going way further than the Devils easily. The ended up with 105 pts and were in total cruise node for the last month

 

They handled the leafs this year ...the devils not so much

I was at the game in Feb down there and I thought it was a good game but leafs played better overall. Lost in SO but with the way they are playing lately I think it would be a good series. Actually WILL be a good series when they both move on
