Oh there is no definition to how bad they are right now. But there's still a few weeks. Just two weeks ago they were 5-1 in the last 6 and everyone was saying were a cup contending team. Too many highs and lows this year

 

Shit happens with a young core. I seem to remember a young cup favorite a couple of years ago in the Atlantic sleeping through an entire year and completely missing the playoffs.

Happens with an old core too. Pens haven't had their A-game much this year and certainly not on a consistent basis. I think even with the little stretch Tor has been on, for the most part they are at or above what could reasonably be expected. Take TB out of the equation and they have been 1 of the better teams all year. It's just TB is relentless so it seems to exaggerate everyone else's bad streaks lol.

We shall see if they go for the all time points record or rest up a bit for the playoffs. Home ice was wrapped up quite a while ago.

They did play the backup goalie tonight.

 

It's basically going to be the best season we have seen in quite some time or 1 of the biggest failures we have seen in a long time. No in-between. That is part of the problem of looking so good through the regular season. It's like something happens and teams either go cold, get smacked and don't know how to handle adversity etc. It will be interesting to see how it plays off. It would be crazy if they just breeze through the playoffs and win it all. That's how they look like they will go. But you never know.

Also, Donato is killing it. Would be nice to squeak into the playoffs just to give all these young guys a little experience. Not like the Wild would make it out of the first round anyways
